We are extremely honored to welcome the progressive metal band HIPPOTRAKTOR to La Providence, who return with a new album “Annihilist” on Pelagic Records. They will be accompanied by the Namur-based band Down To Insanity and their devastating blend of black/prog/death/sludge.

Hailing from Mechelen, Hippotraktor has established itself as one of the leading lights of Belgian progressive metal thanks to a massive sound where crushing riffs, complex polyrhythms, and immersive atmospheres blend seamlessly. Following the success of Meridian (2021) and Stasis (2024), both unanimously praised by critics, the band returns with Annihilist, a new album expected on October 2, 2026, via Pelagic Records.
With notable performances on the stages of Graspop, Alcatraz, ArcTanGent and Motocultor, Hippotraktor confirms its status as an essential rising star of the European metal scene.
DOWN TO INSANITY

In 2019, then composed of four members, the group released its first concept album, "Ce Qu’il Reste". Drawing its influences from Progressive Metal, Death Metal, Atmospheric Black Metal and Sludge Metal, DOWN TO INSANITY constantly pushes its boundaries to offer a unique approach on the Belgian scene.
Today, the group is working on a new album of approximately one hour in length, scheduled for release in 2027. The objective is to attract more people to its universe, to evolve the project through new influences, while remaining true to its identity and codes, inspired by dark fantasy, video games, cinema, literature, and many other forms of expression.
