W'HELL COME TO ROCKERILL: EXPERIMENTAL TROPIC BLUES BAND
The country's craziest rock 'n' roll trio, The Experimental Tropic Blues Band, is back with a new album entitled “Loverdose.” Melodic and introspective, this opus marks a transformation in their journey without losing any of their power. Between electric riffs, frenetic rhythms, and unprecedented depth, Loverdose promises to shake things up.
We'll be celebrating the release party for "Zénith Drift", the new LP from Charleroi's The WRS, featuring their psych/garage krautrock sound, released on Rockerill Records! And let's not forget the pure rock sound of La Louvière's Dr Voy!
ARTISTS & PROGRAMMING
Like many great names, it all started in a basement. For Dr. Voy, it was the basement of the "Lizzi" brothers, from La Louvière, Belgium. After a jam session where Jeff played a few riffs that had been stuck in his head, they decided to form a band. Although they started with a fairly classic sound, the group experimented with various genres and sought out different musicians, going through jazzy and funky phases that didn't really suit them.
Once they found their identity, these four men embarked on an avalanche of creations, ideas, and desires that drove them to push their limits to live their passion. All it took was letting their fiery personalities express themselves, blending Psychedelic Rock with a seventies-inspired sound, sprinkled with a Punk attitude and Soul. An explosion of musical genres for these men who claim not to take themselves too seriously, but who affirm that what they do, they do seriously.
With five self-produced albums under their belt, their music possesses a maturity that suits them perfectly. Their sound comes from the gut, their spontaneity is innate, and their connection with the audience is effortless. This is undoubtedly why Dr. Voy continues to surprise, album after album.
Formed in 2018 in Charleroi, The WRS is a raw energy garage/psychedelic power trio, fueled by fuzzy guitars, a DIY aesthetic and a strong taste for sonic trances.
After a first live LP in 2020 and a second, more accomplished album in 2022 (Capicúa), the group has managed to establish its mark on the psychedelic scene, with the support of labels such as Rockerill Records, Le Cèpe Records, Gazer Tapes or even Salty Dog Records (Australia).
In October 2025, The WRS returns with a third studio album, denser and bolder. The record explores new sonic territories, blending their visceral fuzz with krautrock influences: repetitive rhythms, hypnotic soundscapes, and progressive structures enrich their palette.
With this deliberate shift, The WRS begins a new era, faithful to its psychedelic roots while venturing towards more cosmic and kraut horizons.
