LYDIA LUNCH & MARC HURTADO PLAY SUICIDE
We are honored to begin the 2026 concert season with the exceptional appearance of Lydia Lunch! Accompanied by Marc Hurtado, the duo pays tribute to the music of SUICIDE & Alan Vega, conceived as a sonic and visual blitzkrieg with almost shamanic overtones!
They will be accompanied by Nathan Roche (Villejuif Underground) who returns with the album "35, rue du Théâtre" and the experimental project La Tierce! New ördür will make its industrial plates snap for Ils et Elles.
ARTISTS & PROGRAMMING
Nathan Roche is an Australian rocker from tropical northern Queensland, who arrived in France at the end of 2014 after a European tour and decided to settle there.
He made a name for himself as the leader of the band Le Villejuif Underground, as well as through the experimental duo CIA Débutante, blending rock, noise, and spoken word. Highly prolific, he has released numerous solo albums and EPs, including his latest, 35 Rue du Théâtre, released in 2025 on the relaunched label Celluloid Records.
His art is characterized by a unique blend of garage rock, psychedelia, folk and lo-fi attitudes — often imbued with spontaneity, freedom and a certain controlled chaos.
Lydia Lunch crossed paths with Alan Vega and Martin Rev when she arrived in New York at the age of 16 in the late 1970s. She saw them perform under the name Suicide — a collision between avant-garde performance art and minimalist rock — a style that predated punk by several years.
Lunch has since described this performance as "a total, theatrical, free and violent spectacle".
Since that first meeting, Lydia Lunch has forged a lasting friendship and artistic collaboration with Vega and Rev. She has performed on stage with Suicide and lent her voice to the legendary track “Frankie Teardrop”, from Suicide’s first album, as well as in a duet with Alan Vega on “Prison Sacrifice”, featured on the album Sniper (2010) by Alan Vega & Marc Hurtado.
Since 2014, Lydia Lunch and Marc Hurtado have joined forces around this event dedicated to the music of Suicide and Alan Vega — a kind of sonic “Blitzkrieg”, a true visual shamanic ceremony, where the two artists burn their souls in the volcanic heart of the music of Suicide and Alan Vega.
NEW ÖRDÜR
New Ördür spins USB anthems like Ian Curtis resurrected in the body of a sweating pizza maker fresh from an afternoon nap on a park bench. His golden skin is lacquered with bird droppings and decaying garbage. And yet, the happiest depression knocks at the door, polite, insistent, smiling, full of dead hope.
